Three Wayne County high schools have homecoming this week, Centerville, Hagerstown and Northeastern. Homecoming at Lincoln will be next week, Sept. 12-16; and at Richmond, Sept. 19-23.

Centerville
Centerville will crown its homecoming king and queen during halftime at the homecoming game against Winchester on Friday. King candidates include Wade Lambright, Caleb Rose and Cameron Sanches. Queen candidates are Drake Shadle, Annabelle Price, Hannah Stapleton, Tyana Swartz and Audrey Van Winkle.
Spirit Week includes these dress-up days: Tuesday, PJ Day; Wednesday, Country vs. Country Club Day; Thursday, Throwback Day; and Friday, Blue & White Day.

Hagerstown
Hagerstown’s football game will be Friday, against Union County. During half time the king and queen will be crowned. Names of candidates were not available as Western Wayne News went to press. Homecoming court voting ends Thursday, Sept. 8.
Leading up to the football game, school hallways will be decorated in themes by each grade level on Thursday. Senior theme is On to Victory; juniors, Just go with it — Adam Sandler Movies; sophomores, Disney heads to the beach; freshmen, On our way — Celebrating Team Great Lakes.
The dress up theme days are Tuesday through Friday. Tuesday is on our way wear blue and orange for the Great lakes team, Thursday Adam Sandler Movie Day, and Friday, On to Victory, purple and gold. A pep rally will be on Friday afternoon, including pie throwing and minute-to-win-it competition.
The homecoming dance will be after Friday’s game in the Hagerstown Elementary gym It is open only to Hagerstown High School students.

Northeastern
The Homecoming court has been announced at Northeastern High School. The Knights will face Cambridge City Lincoln in Friday’s football game.
Senior queen nominees include Marissa Cates, Bryelle Fisher, Alaina Hurd, Brooklyn Wheeler and Baylee Wissler. King candidates include Colton Coyle, Caleb Harmon, Justice Hollingsworth, Corbin Retz and Treydon York.
Junior homecoming court members include Emma Neeley, Emma Pierce, Connor Archie and Wesley Hunt.
Sophomores include Payton Gross and Zane Schneider.
Freshmen are Carson Abney and Mackenzie Gibbons.
