Three schools will shoot their best at the Indiana NASP State archery tournament on March 21. Students from Lincoln, Hagerstown and Northeastern will gather at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for a chance to advance to the national competition in Louisville. 

Northeastern archery coach Brian Richmond has led both middle and high school teams for 10 seasons. The Knights’ latest meet was March 14, where the 24-member teams secured a bid at state. 

State qualifiers for Lincoln team coached by Craig Pennington include eighth grader Coleson Burdette, who etched a 1st place win with 277 points. Fourth grader Penelope Anguiano will also compete.

At a February meet, Hagerstown’s coach Chris Blaase led the Tigers to a top-12 score of 2,839. The junior and senior high school will see junior Lucy Neuman and seventh grader Alexis Cline advance to state.
