Randolph Southern and Centerville secured victories at the Eastern Indiana Academic League’s regular season finale to proceed to the state competition. The season closed on April 21 with regional competition at Richmond and Greenfield-Central high schools.

The Rebels’ science team, led by seniors James Gray and Lily Brutchen and sophomore Kohwen Pegg, secured a first place victory. This follows their first-place win at the prior meet.

Centerville’s English team finished first, ranking third in the state for class-3 schools. Sophomores Josie Hopkins and Rena Royer and junior Gretchen Shuman comprise the team. Centerville also ranked in the state’s top 10 among schools for all four classes.

State competition is scheduled for May 9 at Purdue University in West Lafayette.
