Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) has been actively monitoring the rapidly evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Given the fluid nature of the current situation, and WCTV’s desire to keep our community and staff members safe, we have begun to evaluate our upcoming production schedule.
Although no known cases of COVID-19 have been identified on any Indiana University campus to date, IU has issued recommendations which strongly discourage visitors to all campuses. As an Indiana University East community member, WCTV is compelled to follow these recommendations.
In consideration of current Center for Disease Control (CDC), Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), and Indiana University guidance, a decision has been made to cancel all currently scheduled IN Focus Candidate Forums.
Whitewater Community Television, in conjunction with our partners Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce and Hometown Media Group, will continue to monitor recommendations and work to identify other opportunities to provide information on candidates in contested races during this primary election season.
WCTV has served as Wayne County’s PEG access television station since 1988. WCTV produces a wide variety of community, educational and government programming for local residents to enjoy. Our programs are available on Comcast cable throughout most of Wayne County on WCTV Channel 21, WETV Channel 20 and WGTV Channel 11. Online programming is also available for those without access to cable.
