In response to COVID-19, Wayne County Health Officer Dr. David Jetmore has issued a directive for all tattoo parlors, spas, gyms, fitness centers, nail salons, tanning salons, beauty salons and barber shops to close today (Thursday, March 19) until further notice.
A statement from the health department said, “It is imperative that over at least the next two weeks the public limits their movement to essential services only. In order to control the spread of this virus and curb this epidemic, it is necessary to implement these controls.”
Establishments should follow this directive as soon as possible, no later than 9 p.m. Thursday, March 19.
