Available Gateway Industrial Park land will split into three parcels of 41, 22 and 13 acres.
During its Aug. 20 meeting, the Wayne County Advisory Plan Commission unanimously approved the secondary plat petition from Wayne County government, which owns the industrial park land. The county commissioners authorized filing the petition during the July 22 commissioners and Wayne County Council workshop.
The action aims to make the three parcels in the Cambridge City-area industrial park more attractive to prospective businesses. Gordon Moore, representing Beals-Moore & Associates for the petition, indicated inquiries have been received for the available land.
In another decision, the plan commission voted to recommend commissioners vacate an undeveloped road in the 11000 block of Arba Pike.
Ivan Esch owns the plots north, south and west of the road, which was platted with the five-lot Shurman T. Richardson subdivision in 1963, but it was never used. If commissioners approve the vacation, Esch would receive ownership of the land. Esch cleaned up an old shed on the land and maintains it.
