Toys for Tots, which serves ages 0-18 in Wayne and surrounding counties, has announced changes regarding its annual giveaway.
Families can receive toys starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Whitewater Valley Marine Corps League, 200 S. Ninth St., Richmond.
This year, the Richmond site will serve children in Wayne, Fayette, Randolph, Union and Franklin counties plus neighboring Preble County, Ohio.
All registration takes place in person on Dec. 20; no online registration is available.
Parents need to bring a photo ID and proof of address plus proof of each child’s birth date through documents such as a birth certificate, Medicaid card or vaccination record.
They’re no longer asking for Social Security Numbers.
Financial donations can be mailed to the league’s headquarters on South Ninth. Collection boxes for new, unwrapped toys have been placed in stores such as O’Reilly Auto Parts, 3005 E. Main St., Richmond.
Another collection site is Best-One Tire & Service at 100 N. Seventh St., which is offering a gift card incentive through Dec. 12.
