The Hagerstown Tigers traveled to Lewisville on Tuesday, Feb. 25, to complete their Tri-Eastern Conference slate with a game against the Tri High Titans. The Titans, the Henry County tournament champions and 13-game winners, found themselves down 10-0 to the aggressive Tigers to start the game, and they never recovered.

Landon Lawson scored inside, Graham Vinson scored off a steal and hit a 3-pointer on the next Tiger possession, and Kaagen Kendall scored off a steal leading to a Titan time-out with 4:40 remaining in the first period. The Tigers pushed their advantage to 18-6 at the end of the first quarter and 29-15 at halftime.

Every time the Titans tried to make a run in the second half, the Tigers had an answer, eventually pulling away to take a 60-48 win.

Kendall led the Tigers and all game scorers with 15 points, Jaykob Troutwine scored 13 points, Lawson scored 12 points and pulled down 16 rebounds, and Isaac Schmitz scored 10 points. Bryan Kinder scored 14 points to lead the Titans, and Bryant Cornelius and Jonah Cox each scored 10 points.

Tiger head coach Mark Doerstler said his team is starting to show more consistency. “This game gives us more momentum,” Doerstler said. ”This is our fourth straight win. Things are starting to fall in place.”
