The Hagerstown Tigers hosted Eastern Hancock on Friday, Feb. 28, in their final regular-season game. The Tigers, who entered the game with a four-game win streak, battled the favored Royals before losing 57-49. 

Both teams put together runs during the game to build leads but couldn’t hold them. The Royals led 21-12 at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers fought back to take a 32-30 halftime lead on a buzzer-beater rebound basket from Landon Lawson. 

There were three more lead changes and a tie in the third period with the Royals taking a 42-41 lead into the fourth quarter. Graham Vinson scored early in the final period to restore the lead to Hagerstown before the Royals responded with a 7-0 run to take the lead for good. 

Kaden Ruble and Luke Schilling each scored 13 points to lead the Royals. Kaagen Kendall scored a game high of 16 points for the Tigers and Lawson scored 10 points.
