Kaagen Kendall, a Vincennes University commit and 2025 Hagerstown graduate, closed out his high school baseball career as a member of the South team in the 50th annual Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association North-South All-Star series.

The three-game series, played at Loeb Stadium in Lafayette, consisted of two nine-inning games played on Saturday, June 28, with the players wearing All-Star uniforms, and concluded with a wood bat game played on Sunday, June 29, in which the players wore their high school uniforms.

The South team swept the three games, breaking from a 3-3 tie with a single run in the top of the ninth inning to win the opener 4-3.

Kendall, who was named to the team as a pitcher, pitched three innings in game two, allowing two runs on three hits while walking two and striking out two. The South team took the lead for good in the bottom of the seventh inning by scoring four runs to take a 7-4 win.

The wood bat game was dominated by the South team with a final score of 10-2.

Hagerstown head baseball coach Jay Hale, who attended to support Kendall, said his star lefthander showed he belonged with the other elite players selected to participate in the series.

“Kaagen was understandably nervous when he first took the mound,” Hale said. “But he quickly dialed in. He was facing the best players in Indiana, and he kept his team in the game until they could find a way to win it in the late innings. I am proud of his effort. He represented Hagerstown athletics very well.”
