June 20 was the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, marking the summer solstice. The Northern Hemisphere is tilted toward the sun, resulting in more hours of daylight.

Hagerstown golf enthusiasts Fred Dill and Camden Rhoades used the longest day as a personal challenge to see how many holes of golf they could play in a single day.

Teeing off at 6:04 a.m. at Hartley Hills Golf Club, the pair completed 109 holes of play before finishing at 8:15 p.m. Scores were not reported.
