There are other postseason all-star football games played each season, but the oldest, and arguably the most prestigious in Indiana, is the Indiana High School Coaches Association Murat Shrine North/South All-Star Classic. The rosters for both teams included elite players from all six enrollment classes.

The 2025 game took place on Friday, July 11, at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis before a near-capacity crowd. The South won the pregame coin toss and deferred to the North. The South set the tone for the night when Ife Adeoba from Indianapolis Pike blocked the North punt attempt to give the South the ball on the 6-yard line. Jackson Willis scored on a quarterback keeper one minute into the game, and the rout was on.

The South dominated the game with its offensive speed, which led to big play opportunities, and a big, agile front line that shut down virtually everything the North tried to do. One of the South’s defensive linemen was Coleson Campbell (Centerville Senior High School). Campbell altered many plays and had at least three tackles for loss. Campbell is only the seventh player from a Wayne County school selected to participate in the elite game in the last 10 years.

The South defense held the North to only four first downs, breaking a record of five set in 1994. The South defense also held the North to 15 yards passing, breaking the previous record for fewest passing yards of 26 yards set in 1980 and tied in 2014.
