Seton Catholic junior Sara Swinney, running in the 400-meter race at the state track and field meet, finished 16th out of 30 runners in a time of 58.61 seconds.

She was the lone athlete representing a Wayne County high school to participate in the state track and field meet for girls. 

Carmel High School won the meet held Friday, June 5, at North Central High School in Indianapolis.
