Sara Swinney, from Seton Catholic, was the only local qualifier from the Greenfield-Central High School track and field regional Tuesday, May 26. Swinney finished fourth in the 400 meters, breaking her own school record with a time of 57.66.
Only those who finished in the top eight in each event scored points in the meet. The top three finishers in each event and those who meet the state standard in their event advance to the state finals Friday, June 5, at North Central High School.

Centerville: Brylee Marshall placed 12th in the long jump.

Hagerstown: Zaylee Payne placed 11th in the long jump and 15th in the high jump. Mckenzie Waggener placed 13th in the discus. The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Avery Blunk, Sophia Garvin, Maycee Favorite and Emsley Holcomb placed 16th.
Northeastern: Amiyah Davis places 15th in the 400 meter and 16th in the long jump. Hayden Neagle placed eighth in the 800 meter. Aubrey Neagle placed 12th in the 1600 meter and 13th in the 3200 meter. The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Fiona Breitenbach, Zella Cook, Aubrey Neagle and Amiyah Davis placed 15th.
Richmond: Akailyn Hogg placed sixth in the 100 meter and sixth in the 200 meter. Jenna Johnston placed fifth in the shot put. The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Hogg, Lily Vanlandingham, Shanel Sexton and Lucinda Quest was ninth.
Seton Catholic: Jolie Scherschel placed 18th in the high jump.
North Central High School was the team champion with 80 points, Richmond was tied for 18th with 10 points, Seton Catholic tied for 21st with five points and Northeastern tied for 24th with one point.
