Center Grove won the Providence Regional on Thursday, June 11, at the challenging Champions Pointe Golf Club in Henryville.
Teams and individuals from sectional sites at Franklin County, Greensburg, Madison, Providence and Union County traveled to compete for the right to advance to the state tournament to be held on June 16 and 17. The top three teams and the top three individuals who were not on an advancing team advanced to the state.
Center Grove won the event with a score of 298, Franklin Community was second with a score of 308, and Floyd Central placed third with a score of 309. Jonathan Moody from Batesville was low medalist with a round of 71.
Richmond posted a team score of 363 to place 14th in the final team standings. Noah Searcy, representing Hagerstown as an individual, posted a score of 91. Boston Beatty, representing Centerville as an individual, posted a score of 90.
