Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce organized another scooter race to pit school superintendents and principals against each other during Wayne County’s annual basketball tournament featuring girls and boys teams from Lincoln, Centerville, Hagerstown and Northeastern.
Northeastern High School Principal John Markward won the first race and Hagerstown Jr.-Sr. High School Principal Jordan McCaslin won the second race at Thursday’s games.
McCaslin, right, races Carrie Mastriano, Lincoln’s new assistant principal. The scooter race helps promote the chamber’s Every Day Counts program, which offers prizes as incentives for students to attend school every day.
