Earlier in the week, another teen was injured in a Richmond shooting.

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the hand inside a home after a bullet passed through an air conditioner.

At about 3:17 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, Richmond Police Department responded to 208 Pearl St. on the city’s northwest side in response to a person who had been shot.

During the initial investigation, it was determined that a bullet had passed through an air conditioning unit and struck a 16-year-old male inside 208 Pearl St.

The teen was transported to Reid Health for treatment of a hand injury.

Lt. Brandon Cappa said the initial investigation revealed that 202 Pearl St. also had been struck by gunfire.
