Richmond High School hosted the annual Thomas Hill Memorial Wrestling Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 13. The event honors the memory of a 1959 Richmond High School graduate who was an outstanding football player and a state champion wrestler for the Red Devils.
Richmond boys highlights
Robert Peacock compiled a record of 3-0 on the day in the 113-pound weight class.
Tyziyah Stubbs compiled a record of 3-0 on the day in the 150-pound weight class.
Montae Stubbs compiled a 4-0 record on the day in the 285-pound weight class.
As a team, Richmond defeated Hagerstown 43-27 and Northeastern 50-30 while losing a close match to Franklin County 39-33.
As a team, Hagerstown also lost to Franklin County 52-23.
August Golliher at 150 pounds, Dixin Mitchem at 165 pounds and Wyatt Mitchell at 190 pounds were weight-class winners for Hagerstown.
As a team, Northeastern also defeated Monroe Central 45-30.
Dakota Dillard at 106 pounds, Olivia Crull at 113 pounds, Lucas Chamness at 126 pounds, Lucas Cameron at 132 pounds, Vanden Miller at 138 pounds, Jackson Wein at 144 pounds, Dillion Kinney at 157 pounds and Javon Simpson at 285 pounds were weight-class winners for Northeastern.
