The Richmond boys cross country team turned in a dominating performance at the Connersville Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. The Red Devils captured the top three spots and six of the top eight to win the event easily. Cale Newton from Richmond won the race in a time of 16:40.79.
Boys placements: Cale Newton first, Dash Thacker second, Brady Newton third, Kolden Carpenter sixth, Henry Christian seventh, Trevin Crosby eighth, Robert Peacock 20th.
Team standings top three: Richmond 17, East Central 42, Rushville 84
The Richmond girls also participated and finished third.
Girls placements: Lauren Newton third, Caroline Swinney ninth, Samantha Hileman-Dudas 12th, Melanie Lafuze 20th, Amya James 26th.
Team standings top three: East Central 31, Rushville 45, Richmond 54.
