Inspectors discovered two critical and 13 noncritical violations during recent routine inspections of local food establishments.
The violations ranged from too-warm lunch meat to a cracked foundation that’s allowing soil and gravel to leak into a kitchen.
Establishments are required to post the most recent routine inspection form adjacent to the front public entrance for potential customers to view.
Wayne County Health Department employees collected those concerns between Aug. 11-30.

Inspections
Wayne County Health Department inspects local stores, restaurants, schools and other food providers at least twice a year. If any critical violations are found, inspectors follow up to ensure the establishment has made the necessary corrections. They also make visits if members of the public submit complaints.
