Reid Health now has 39 lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 as of the evening of April 8, and has 59 patients in containment areas from its eight-county service area.

A total of 259 tests have been submitted.

Due to the lag time in state reported data, Reid Health is sharing with the community its own data. This data will no longer include the number of negative tests results as studies are showing a relatively high “false negative” outcome of testing.

Franklin County has 64 positive cases, Fayette and Henry counties each have 19, Wayne County has 16, Randolph County has seven and Union County has five.

Franklin County has had seven COVID deaths, while Fayette County has had three and Wayne and Randolph counties have had one.

As of April 9, Indiana has 6,351 cases. There have been 245 deaths in the state, according to Indiana State Department of Health.
