At least two Wayne County organizations are offering spring break programs for students.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County will offer two special sessions.

Its Wayne Bank Unit at 519 Queen St. in Pershing will be open from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. March 23-27 for $10/day or $40 per week.

The First Bank Unit at 855 N. 12th St. in Richmond will be open from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. March 30 through April 3.

Current members will be able to attend either location from 2-5:30 p.m. those days at no extra charge. Memberships are $15/year per student ages 6-18.

Cope Environmental Center’s “Explore the Outdoors” camp is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 30 through April 3. It’s for students currently enrolled in grades K-5.

Campers will have hands-on adventures such as pond dipping, spring hikes, live animal encounters, creative nature crafts and team-building games led by counselors who make learning feel like play, according to a news release.

The week’s fee is $115 for nonmembers. Scholarships are available.

If fewer than five children are enrolled by March 16, the camp will be canceled and fees will be refunded.

Registration also just opened for Cope’s summer camp for ages 6-11, which offers week-long programs between June 8-26 and July 6-24. An additional camp is offered for ages 3-5 from 9 a.m.-noon June 1-5 and July 27-31. It’s $65 for nonmembers.

More information and registration is available at visitcope.org.
