The Richmond baseball team traveled to Muncie on Wednesday, April 15, to compete their home and home series with the Muncie Central Bearcats.
The Red Devils opened their season with a 1-3 record after four games but they have been on a hot streak since then. On Wednesday, the Red Devils played error-free baseball for the fourth consecutive game and ran their winning streak to five straight defeating the Bearcats 6-3 to remain unbeaten in North Central Conference play.
The game was tied at 2-2 entering the sixth inning before the Red Devils pulled away. Darwyn Roman collected three hits for Richmond, Weston Jones had two. Tyrel Brown struck out 10 Bearcats, Syn’cere Russell struck out four more.
