After weeks of qualifying meets around the state, Richmond senior Jacob Lindahl was the lone representative for Wayne County schools in the large-school division at the Hoosier State Relays Indoor Track and Field meet.
The meet, which culminates the indoor track season, was held at the Indiana State Fairground Pavilion on Saturday, March 28.
Lindahl delivered a career-best performance in the shot put with a toss of 59 feet, 1.5 inches, falling just .75 inches short of the state championship. The state champion was Kaleb Rasheed from Avon High School, with a toss of 59 feet, 2.25 inches.

Northeastern High School is the only Wayne County school that sent athletes to the small-school division meet. The Knights collected two top 10 finishes.
Northeastern boys placements
The 4 x 200-meter relay team placed 14th.
Wyatt Craft placed 17th in the high jump.
Northeastern girls placements
Hayden Neagle placed seventh in the 3200 meter and Aubrey Neagle placed 15th.
The 4 x 400-meter relay team placed 20th.
The distance medley relay team placed eighth.
