An earlier article posted with the headline “RCS cuts 19 positions” was inaccurate. The article, about the June 17, 2026, RCS board meeting, was based in part on the meeting’s planned agenda posted to the RCS website earlier in the week, which included action items and consent agenda items that would have made those personnel changes.
WWN observed the meeting proceedings and the 6 to 0 vote approving the board’s consent agenda and action items, but was not aware that the agenda documents had changed prior to approval. School officials tell WWN the board did not approve the reductions in force it had included on the original agenda.
WWN is ultimately responsible for the error in reporting and regrets sharing inaccurate information.
