Spring property tax payments are due May 10.
Wayne County residents have multiple ways to pay, according to Treasurer Nancy Funk.
- Bills may be paid in person at the Wayne County Administration Building, 401 E. Main St., Richmond. Park in the south lot and enter the doors marked A1. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
- A drop box is located at the east end of the administration building’s south parking lot. No cash should be left in the drop box. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a receipt. The drop box is emptied several times each day. On May 10, it will be emptied at midnight, and subsequent payments will be considered late.
- Payments are accepted at First Bank Richmond locations, Merchants Bank in Richmond and Wayne Bank locations. First Bank Richmond and Merchants Bank charge a $1 fee, and Wayne Bank charges a $2 fee.
- Payments may be made online at co.wayne.in.us/treasurer or by calling 1-877-690-3729 using the jurisdiction code 2412. Service fees will be assessed for using a credit card or e-check. The website has a list of fees.
- Mail payments to Wayne County Treasurer at 401 E. Main St., Richmond, Indiana 47374. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a receipt. Mailed payments must be postmarked by May 10 to be considered on time.
