One man has been arrested and lodged in the Wayne County Jail on a murder charge after an early morning stabbing.
Shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, Richmond Police Department’s third-shift officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of East Main Street in reference to a person being stabbed.
The victim, identified as Audie Corn, 39, of Richmond, was transported to Reid Health, where he was pronounced dead.
RPD’s Investigative Services Division was called to the scene to assist in collecting of evidence and talking to witnesses, said Capt. Curt Leverton in a news release.
Chad F. Farmer, 41, who lives in the same block of East Main Street where the stabbing took place, was arrested and lodged in the Wayne County Jail on the charge of murder following the initial interviews, Leverton said.
