An incident at a Cambridge City gas station has led to one arrest on a robbery charge and a search for another suspect.
Cambridge City Police Chief Richard Roberts said police responded to CountryMark at 2 E. Main St. at about 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
Two suspects entered the store and had a confrontation with the clerk, which escalated into a strong arm robbery, with no weapons involved, Roberts said.
Roberts said one of the suspects was known to police as Jaylen A. Meltzer, 18, of East Cumberland Road in Dublin. The other suspect was unknown as of Friday.
Meltzer was located later Thursday and questioned before being arrested and lodged at the Wayne County Jail, Roberts said.
He was booked in the jail shortly before 4:30 p.m. on a preliminary charge of robbery, which is a Level 5 felony.
Roberts said Friday that no additional information could be released at this time because it is still an active investigation.
Those with information to report about the incident can contact police at (765) 478-1231.
