The futility continued for the winless Lincoln football team on Friday, Sept. 25, when they lost to the host Knightstown Panthers in a Tri-Eastern Conference game.

Six-foot-5 Knightstown senior quarterback Bryor Carmichael put on an aerial show.

Carmichael, a preseason first-team All-State player, completed 15-17 pass attempts for 206 yards and six touchdowns, and he rushed for a seven-yard touchdown before setting out the second half. Six touchdowns in a half established a new Knightstown school record.

Backup quarterback Devin Kincade completed two of two pass attempts, including a touchdown pass in the second half, in a Panther 75-0 win. The Panthers took a 49-0 halftime lead to trigger a running clock in the second half.

Lincoln could never establish a passing game and ended the game with negative passing yards. As a team, the Eagles gained a net of six yards rushing. Colton Cupp was the leading ground gainer for the Eagles with 14 yards on 12 carries. Cupp also had two kickoff returns for 37 yards.

Ben Golliher had three kickoff returns for 46 yards, and Kenny Schweizer led the Panthers in rushing with 68 yards on four carries. Cupp also led the Eagles with five tackles.
