Booker Adrien Washington (Adrien), age 60, was born on November 11, 1964, to Booker T. and Margaret Kelley Washington in Richmond, Indiana. He passed away on October 5, 2025, in Dallas, Texas.
Adrien grew up in Richmond and attended Richmond Community Schools, where he competed in various athletic sports. He excelled in track and field, which led him to attend Ranger College in Ranger, Texas.
Known for his vibrant personality, Adrien was a talented dancer who loved roller skating, entertaining children, cooking for others, and working with his hands. He was employed at Johns Manville in Richmond and later worked as a welder and on construction crews in Texas. His creativity and entrepreneurial spirit led him into auto detailing and interior refurbishing, where he discovered a passion for craftsmanship. Adrien eventually opened his own upholstery shop, designing and restoring interiors for vehicles and boats and reupholstering furniture, a true reflection of his skill, innovation, and eye for beauty.
Adrien leaves to cherish his memory three children: LaKiella Lin Rose (Terence Willie Rose) of Justin, Texas; Lauren Renee Washington and Booker T. Washington, both of Denton, Texas. He is also survived by his father, Booker T. Washington of Richmond, Indiana; two sisters, Christella Yvonne Washington of Richmond, Indiana, and Celina Washington Printup of Denton, Texas; six beloved grandchildren—Ava Kinsley Rose (9), Khyrie Teagan Rose (5), Terence Willie Rose Jr. (3), Kasen Darnell Walton (10), Rhylan Washington (10) and Ella Washington (12)—along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
