Eric Lee Carter, 60, a resident of New Castle passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1962 to Rex and Phyllis (Phelps) Carter of New Castle
Eric was formerly employed at RCA in Indianapolis. He was an accomplished musician and enjoyed singing, playing drums and guitar with the Silver Ryder Band.
Survivors, in addition to his parents include 3 step children, Tommie (Shane) Barnes of Spiceland, Chad (Jessica) Justice of Mt. Comfort and Jessi (Chad) Ownes of Zuni, Virginia; 8 step grandchildren, 2 step great-great grandchildren; his former wife and forever friend, Sandi Clark of Springport; sister, Tamara Lynn Carter of New Castle; brother, Anthony “Tony” Carter; 4 nephews, Jonathan (Theresa) Duncan of Indianapolis, Joshua B. (Chandra) Carter of New Castle, Ian and Collin Carter of Indianapolis; two great nephews: Jordan Duncan and Keegan Carter.
