Steven Wade Childress succumbed to injuries he received at a Juneteenth party in Anderson, Indiana, June 19, 2022. He was born December 13, 1995, to Emma Rodenberger and Arnold (Beanie) Childress. He was called home August 4, 2022, after a hard-fought battle from the wounds he received.
To know Steven was to love him. He never wanted to see anyone sad. He was always joking and trying to cheer everyone up. If you needed a dime, he would make sure you got a dollar. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for a friend. You never saw Steven that you didn’t see him with his younger brother, Briceton. The two were inseparable.
Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his brothers Briceton Orr (Brooke Price), Trey Childress, Jordan Childress and Junior Carter. Sisters Jasmine, Asia and Lauren Childress. Grandparents Rick and Barb Lamb, Rebecca Childress Hollingsworth (George) and John Rodenberger. Briceton’s two daughters, Kanyla and Amelia were the joy of his life. He has a special friend Rodney Williams. He also has a host of other family and friends that will miss him greatly.
