Spencer Chase Goodwin, age 27 of Spiceland, Indiana, passed away Sunday evening, March 27, 2022 from injuries sustained in an motorcycle accident. He was born September 6, 1994 in Hancock County and was the son of Toby (wife, Jeanie) Goodwin of Spiceland and Deena (husband, David) Luna of New Castle.
Spencer attended Tri High School where he was active on the football team. He was a self-employed auto mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his “boy,” Finn; eight brothers, Chris (Maria) Hiner of Muncie, Edward (Sarah) Lane of San Antonio, Texas, Tristin (Chantay Daniels) Goodwin, Jimmie (Logan Powers) Luna, Damion (Makiya Grubbs) Luna, and Daniel Floyd, all of New Castle, Cole Baker (Teresa) of Avon, Indiana, Caleb Baker of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; seven sisters, Paige Olague (Franky) of Lebanon, Indiana, Karli Lane (Greg Allen) of Indianapolis, Annie Goodwin of New Castle, Savannah Lee (Kole Grubbs) of New Castle, Miranda and Mariah Luna, both of New Castle, Mattie Lee of New Castle; paternal grandmother, Kathy (husband, Brad) Wert of New Lisbon; maternal grandparents, Phil and Dixie Coursen of Fishers, Indiana; step-grandmother, Alicia Goodwin Shanks of New Castle; several nieces, nephews, cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Larry Goodwin in 2005.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Rose City Funeral Home, Macer-Hall-Marcum Chapel, 2011 East Broad Street, New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery, Westlawn addition. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
