Shelly Rana Bloom, 51, of Connersville, passed away early Thursday morning, March 31, 2022 at her home.
She was born August 9, 1970 in Connersville to Orville Dale Bloom, Sr. and Wanda DeBoard Bloom, and she was a 1988 graduate of Connersville High School.
For a number of years, Shelly worked for Visteon.
In her leisure, she enjoyed painting and flower gardening. A kind heart, she loved taking care of others and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two children, Michael David Newton, Jr. and Braxton Rana Newton (fiancé, Jordan Pierce), both of Marysville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Adalynn Faye Newton and Joshua Michael Pierce; five siblings, Kenneth (Marna) Bloom, Dale (Lisa) Bloom, Jerome (Cathie) Bloom, Kim (Ron) Smith, and Kassindra (Ryan) Young; a special friend, Darryl Isaacs; special aunt and uncle, Anna and Dave DeBoard; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and the father of her children, Michael David Newton, Sr.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
