Ruth I. Moore, age 95, of Richmond, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Golden LivingCenter – Golden Rule.
Born April 10, 1926, in Eaton, Ohio, to John L. and Alice Marie Melling Wright, Ruth lived in Richmond most of her life. She graduated from Eaton High School. Ruth worked at the service desk for Kmart. She also assisted Roy, her children’s father, with his auction sales and traveled to many places with him. Ruth was a former member of Abington Christian Church. She enjoyed watching TV, especially soap operas. Ruth was a very friendly lady and never met a stranger. Most importantly, she was a wonderful mother, who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren with all her heart.
Survivors include her children, Sue Burdett and Ona Moore, both of Richmond and Lisa (Mario) Dunn of McKinney, Texas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Gaston, Bonnie VanAusdal, and Rebecca Campbell; son, Jessie L. Moore; parents; sister, Juanita Moore; and brother, Jim Wright.
There will be a private graveside service for Ruth I. Moore. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
