Owen Davis, 86, of Connersville, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Majestic Care where he had been a resident for the last six months.
Owen was born May 27, 1935 in Fayette County to Charles and Lena Ecker Scaggs Davis.
A veteran, he served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956.
On February 14, 1988, he married Katherine “Kathy” Robinson. Mrs. Davis survives.
He worked for Fayette County Highway for many years driving trucks. He also worked on Johnson’s Farms, Devor Trucking, and Dare Trucking. He loved being outside and driving trucks.
He also enjoyed attending Everton Southern Baptist Church where he was a member.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Katherine “Kathy” Davis; two sons, Mike (Darlene) Davis and Tim Davis, both of Connersville; three step-sons whom he loved as his own, Jame (Samantha) Robinson, Jr. of Connersville, Terry (Fernanda) Robinson of Nashville, Tennessee, and Andy (Angie) Robinson of Connersville; a son-in-law, Clarence Colgate of Connersville; fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Eula and Chad Gibson of Richmond, Indiana and Helen Burch of Liberty, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including a special cousin, Shelby Groves of Washington C.H., Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; his daughter, Theresa Colgate; a grandson, Jared Robinson; and a brother-in-law, Charles Burch.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Ron Russell officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery.
