Nevada Ruth Fenters, age 97 of Connersville, passed away on March 30, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones at Heritage House of Connersville. She was born on May 9, 1924, in Fayette County, Indiana, the daughter of Jacob and Cora Marie Jones Bradburn.
She is a graduate of Harrisburg High School. Nevada retired in 1993 from Ford and its predecessors after 40 years of service. During World War II, she worked at American Kitchens making parts for airplanes
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, American Legion Auxiliary Post #122 in Liberty, Fayette County Senior Center where she served as the AARP Officer, and Ford Golden Girls. She was also a former Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she very active.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Clark and Donna Underwood both of Connersville; a stepdaughter, Caryn Miller; three grandchildren, Tami Tressler and husband Jason Webb, Johnny Mullins and wife Kelly; and William A. Brown and partner Mary Futa; three step grandchildren, Rebecca Sheidler, Sarah Hannah and Allison Miller; five great grandchildren, Ashlee Gribben and husband Jeremy, Brayton Tressler and wife Audrey, Whitney Brown and fiancé Antonio Mejia, Shalee Stine and husband Andrew, and Raegan Mullins; five great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husbands, William H. Brown, Jr. and Marion D. (Buck) Fenters; her brothers, Lewis Bradburn, Henry Bradburn, Marion Bradburn, and Jacob Bradburn, Jr.; sisters, Mary Alice Godsey and Judy Bright Long; nephews, Arlie Bradburn, Mark Bright, and Jay Bright; and nieces, Ginny Jo Silvers and Helen Bradburn.
Friends and family may gather at First Baptist Church, 1211 Grand Ave., Connersville, on Friday evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday April 2, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church with funeral services conducted at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mal Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Lick Creek.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
