Michael Dempsey, 85, of New Castle passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. He was born September 15, 1936 in New Castle, Indiana.
Michael grew up on South 24th Street in New Castle and was a graduate of Chrysler High School. He served with the National Guard and retired from Allegheny Ludlum after over 30 years of service. Michael was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed golfing, horse races and enjoying life with his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Audrey Hinton; granddaughter, Stefanie (Todd) Wilkerson; great grandson, Liam Wilkerson and many cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Hassell Dempsey.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion and VFW.
