Lillian Jane Kuhn, 83, of Hagerstown, passed away on the evening of Thursday, September 1, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 4, 1939, in New Lisbon, Indiana, a daughter of the late Edwin P. Morrow York and Lillian Hope (Hicks) York Guffey.

Jane worked at Perfect Circle in Hagerstown for 35 years, retiring in 1996. She and her partner, Ted Edwin Duvall loved to travel, wintering in Florida, visiting her sons in Dallas, visiting Cancun, Jamaica, Alaska, Canada, Los Angeles, New York City, and anywhere they could fit a motorhome. Together they hunted, fished, and farmed. They also liked to go camping, boating, and riding horses. Jane loved garage sales and was an avid collector of Ruby Red Glass, Barbies, and jewelry. She was a member of the UAW and served as a union representative. Jane was a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #333 in Hagerstown. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Jane’s memory include two sons, Timothy Wayne Kuhn, of Dallas, TX and Douglas Duane Kuhn, of Richmond; a daughter, Lisa Jane Patterson (friend, Doug Sorrell), of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Nicholas Jay (Evelyn) Patterson, Eric Rodney Patterson (Stephannie Whitis), and Drake Charles Ross, and Brandi (Chris) (Duvall) Merryman; Six great-grandchildren, Lane Austin Patterson, Greyson Jay Patterson, Evelyn Leilani Patterson, Alisha Starr Estes, and Eli Thaddeus Estes, Everest Merryman, and a great-granddaughter, Finley Jane Patterson, due in December; a brother, Jerry Moses York of Ft. Wayne; a sister-in-law, Wanda York of East Point, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her partner of 50 years, Ted Edwin Duvall on December 31, 2016; a sister, Donna June Johnson; a brother, Chester Ralph York; a great-grandson, Noah L. Patterson, and by a special aunt, Wanda Crabtree.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Church Cemetery in Hagerstown.
