Kenneth Dewayne Royer, age 72, of Richmond, Indiana, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.
Born August 4, 1949, in Richmond, Indiana, to Harold and Dorothy Buhrnan Royer, Ken was a life-long resident of this community. He worked at J.M. Hutton & Co., Inc. Ken belonged to the Baptist faith. He enjoyed carpentry, NASCAR, and golfing.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Donna Brock Royer; children, Christopher Royer and Curtis Royer, both of Richmond, Claudia Moore of Greenville, Ohio, and Angela Moore of New Paris, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchild; siblings, Connie (Ron) Russell of Galveston, Indiana, Kim Pierce of Kokomo, Indiana, Keith (Joan) Royer and Kurt Royer, both of Windsor, New York, and Kris (Kelly) Royer of Logansport, Indiana; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Ricky and Joseph L. Moore; great-great-grandchild, Brantlee Brock; parents; sister, Karen Lawson; and grandparents, Sol and Hazel Royer and Russell and Hazel Oler Townsend.
Visitation for Kenneth Dewayne Royer will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with his brother-in-law, Johnny Smith, officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery at a later date.
