George Harry Hedge, age 80, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Reid Health.
Born May 22, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Harry and Beatrice Forner Hedge, George had lived in Richmond since 2000. He was an inventory buyer for Elder-Beerman. George served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of Webster United Methodist Church and volunteered there at many activities. George also enjoyed taking care of the farm and watching football with family as long as it was the Colts or the Bengals playing.
Survivors include his daughter, Lindsey Hedge of Fountain City, Indiana; son, Andrew (Jennifer) Hedge of Richmond; three grandchildren, Cody (Rylee) Ketzel, Connor Gibson, and Austin Gibson; sisters, Donna, Beatrice, and Janet; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Sue Hedge on February 27, 2015; sister, Barbara; and brother, Roland “Sonny”.
A celebration of life for George Harry Hedge will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
