Drena Ruth Worth Douglass, age 81 of Richmond, went to be with her Lord, December 8, 2021, at Reid Hospital of double pneumonia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Lucille Worth. She is survived by her husband, Bob of 59 years; son Robert of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Cathleen of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Arlene Price and Darlene Frame.

She was born in Mt. Auburn, Indiana; graduated from Holland High School, Holland, Michigan and studied music and mathematics at Marion Bible College, Marion, Indiana. She played piano and organ for a number of churches: Lynwood Nazarene, Lynwood, California; Free Methodist Churches in Indianapolis and Mars Hill; Visitation Catholic Church, Eaton, Ohio; First Christian Church, Richmond. Also played for many wedding services.

She was a past President of the International Travel Study Club (Joan of Arc chapter) and a member of the American Business Women’s Association in Indianapolis and Richmond.

Her favorite jobs other than piano were: journeyman typesetter, school bus driver, office work for the state of Indiana, and bank customer service. Hobbies were: sewing, collecting purses, shopping, camping and traveling by cruise ship.

A memorial service will be held January 7, 2022 at 1:00 pm. at the First Baptist Church, Richmond (1601 South A street).
