Christopher George, 63, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 5th at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.
Chris was born in Richmond, Indiana, on April 12th, 1958, the son of Donald R. & Martha “Maggie” Ann Robbins George. He was a 1976 graduate of Northeastern High School.
Chris attended Purdue University, where he was a member of the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band. He left college to join the Navy, where he completed two years of service before being discharged. He had a deep appreciation for history, which he shared with his children through trips to museums, various historical sites, and books. Chris was a genuine, happy soul who loved to talk and never met a stranger.
