Carolyn L. Strohmier, age 90, of Richmond, Indiana and recently of Duvall, Washington, died at home on August 8, 2022, with her daughter and friend by her bedside.
Born October 4, 1931, in Wayne County, IN, to John Hollingsworth and Blanch Alexander Hollingsworth, she resided in Wayne County until 2017. Carolyn had been a member of the Middleboro United Methodist Church. She belonged to Delta Theta Tau sorority for over 50 years, Red Hat Society, and a Euchre card club for more than 25 years. Carolyn also enjoyed participating in numerous Bible studies.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Laura) Strohmier of New Paris, Ohio and Cyndi (Gary) Strohmier-Pedeville of Duvall; and granddaughter, Mallory (Matt) Murray of Floyds Knobs, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Strohmier; parents; and sister, Joan Barker.
Services for Carolyn L. Strohmier are pending at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio.
