Aimee Nanette (Jackson) Simmons, 51, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. She was born on December 30, 1970, in Winchester, to Melvin Dean and Ginger K. Jackson.
Aimee was a 1989 graduate of Winchester Community High School. She attended Amber’s Beauty School, Ivy Tech studying Phlebotomy and Pre-Nursing, and Columbus State Community College, studying Physical Therapy. Aimee was an insurance agent for Aflac and had worked at the lab at Reid Hospital. She really loved her German Shepherds.
Aimee is survived by her daughter, Shayla Whittington (Aaron) of Kissimmee, FL; her father, Melvin Dean Jackson (Rita) of Hartford City; her grandchildren, Jackson and Wyatt Whittington; and a sister, Joni Steveson (Ted)
Aimee was preceded in death by her mother, Ginger K. Jackson.
A service to celebrate Aimee’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Muncie.
