Ruth A. Aversa, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, October 8, 2021, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born September 29, 1929, in Richmond, Indiana, to Ernest H. and Jewell Marie Bratton Campbell, Ruth was a life-long resident of this community. She lived her life for her family, friends, and pets.
Survivors include her daughters, Jacqueline Aversa of Richmond and Nancy (John) Fessler of Lexington; grandchildren, Kyle Fessler of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lauren Fessler (Jake Loos) of Chicago, Illinois; nieces; nephews; and numerous great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Frank Aversa, to whom she was married July 7, 1956; parents; beloved sister, Clara Maness; brothers, Marvin, Woodrow, Arthur, Ernest Jr., and Robert Campbell; and dear sister-in-law, Florence Campbell.
Visitation for Ruth A. Aversa will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. A private funeral service will be held with Deacon Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
