Ronald Braden Beach, 73, Muncie, passed away November 18, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Ron was born June 22, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and moved to Richmond, Indiana, as a child. He came to Muncie to attend Ball State University and lived in the Muncie area most of his adult life.

Ron’s great passion was music, and music filled his home and every day of his life. At Ball State, he attended the School of Music where he studied French horn. He played French horn in several symphony orchestras, including the Muncie Symphony. A versatile musician and wonderful guitarist, Ron also performed with a number of local bands, including Live Jazz Tonight and the Great Divide. He loved the ocean and was especially happy when he could be at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing good food, good music, and good times with family and friends.

Ron was employed as a mechanical engineer and tool designer at several companies, most recently Creative Concepts and Designs.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sue; sons, Gregory D. Beach (Laurel Clark), Gabriel K. Beach, and Stephen M. Mathys (Heather Endicott); daughters, Erin “Missy” Beach (Jason Frederick), and Erin “Mia” Beach (Hugh Farrell); his grandchildren, Simon Brooks, Duncan Mathys, Eve “Niko” Brooks, Olivia Frederick, Judah Brooks, and Aelwen Mathys. Also surviving are his mother, Nancy V. Beach; his brother, William E. Beach (Jenien); and his sisters, Laura A. Dixon (David), and Jane E. Snyder (Ronald). He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Beach, and his biological father, David M. Rheuble.

Ron requested that there be no funeral services. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his memory will be held at a later date.
