Roger Charles Hartman, 75, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his home. He was born July 20, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Charles and Dorthy (Baker) Hartman.
Roger graduated from Richmond High School in Richmond, Indiana. He married Marta Cummings on October 22, 1977 in Richmond, Indiana. Roger was a dairy farmer while living in Indiana. After moving to Columbia, he worked at Orscheln, K-Mart, and drove cars for Mid-Mo Auto Auction.
Roger loved watching NASCAR races and RFD-TV. He loved spending time with his family and eating his favorite meal of hamburgers and baked beans!
Roger is survived by his wife, Marta Hartman of the home; daughters: Emily Hartman (Eugene Parker), Megan Potter (John), and Caryn Hartman, all of Columbia; grandchildren: Coben, Baron, Sydney, Stella, Simone; brother Richard “Jay” Hartman; sister, Virginia L. Turner; and his granddogs, Maggie and Roxy. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials in his honor may be made to The Central Missouri Humane Society.
