Orville “Sonny” Cloyd, 94, of Connersville, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
He was born July 29, 1927 in Laurel County, Kentucky, and is the son of the late Leonard and Sally Cloyd.
He was employed at H. H. Robertson for 36 years until his retirement in 1975.
In his leisure, Sonny enjoyed fishing and hunting in the great outdoors.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby (Nancy) Cloyd, Donald (Pat) Cloyd, and Richard (Debbie) Cloyd, all of Connersville; one brother, Ronald Cloyd; one sister, Janet (Floyd) Harmeyer; thirteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Katherine Cloyd and Edna Browning; four brothers, Jack L. Cloyd, Oliver Cloyd, James Cloyd, and Vernon Cloyd; and a step-son, Brian O’Neil.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Robert Lee will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Valley Grove Cemetery.
