Nina M. Houser, age 89, of Richmond, Indiana, died Monday, February 22, 2021, at Forest Park Health Campus.
Born November 26, 1931, in College Corner, Ohio, to Pearl and Sarah Inman Gard, Nina lived in the Wayne County area most of her life.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Gaila) Houser Jr. of Richmond; grandchildren; siblings, Fred Gard and Wanda (Jack) Aukerman; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Mark Houser Sr.; daughter, Linda Houser; grandchild; parents; sisters, Mary Grove, who died in the 1968 explosion, Marjorie Pelfey, and Doris Pickering; and brothers, Robert “Bud” and Sam Gard.
Visitation for Nina M. Houser will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Chaplain Rick Alvey officiating. Please plan to wear your own mask in the funeral home. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
